2025 MAEA Awards

Maine Art Educator of the Year 2026

We are delighted to recognize Hope Lord of Waterville Senior and Junior High Schools as the MAEA Maine Art Educator of the Year! Hope will address us at the Fall Conference in Haystack and at the YAM ceremony at the PMA in March. She will also be recognized at the 2026 NAEA Convention in Chicago next spring. Congratulations, Hope!

“One of the attributes I admire most about Hope is her initiative and pursuit of new learning opportunities. During my eight years in this district, Hope has consistently demonstrated flexibility, collegiality, initiative to solve problems and create new opportunities for students, and support for colleagues.”
